Wow, Passing Cisco exam is not that difficult if you guys get yourselves organised and create a valid dump with latest questions to help each other pass. If you can’t even share the so called 429q it tells you this forum needs to be reformed. If I had it, I’ll share then work hard to customise it with current questions

Personally I am not in a hurry to take this exam so I have time to search till I find valid dump then work on it. If you don;t wanna share, keep it. I am not going to beg anyone, seriously!

Passed today 970/1000

The 410q is still valid which can be found if you go back a couple months on comments. I used the 410q, some questions that are being posted here were on the exam, CBT Nuggets and the OCG book.

You can skip all WCS questions. Be sure to look back at a few posts, those new questions I’ve seen on the exam. I would say 80-90% valid for 411q, some questions varies in how many choices it’ll allow.

For ex: you get the same question on exam that shows up in dump but instead of asking for 3 choices, you only choose 2 on the exam.

Passed today with 868/1000. 429q surely helped but the 50% of the questions were not listed there. Try to find the 437q dump and see if it is more valid.

Hi, I passed on Thursday 23rd. 930 out of 1000. There were about 20 to 30% of new questions. No WCS questions. There are mistakes in the question dumps. I recommend everybody to study thoroughly and to check/verify all answers for questions in the question dumps.

Dump 437 fair and gives a good idea but a few questions are variations of the one there. Got like 5 new ones and other 7 with twitches so read carefully.

If I remmember it was 860 and 120 minutes…study well and you can finish much faster!

Can anyone explain the order in which the AP tries to find a controller?
I saw a question that place them in the following order… probe.. then locally stored… then DHCP option 43 … and lastly DNS.

First of all is this order correct? Secondly could anyone elaborate on this order or any reference of where I can read more about it?

The Official Cert Guide say:

1 – Broadcast on the local subnet—The AP will broadcast a CAPWAP Discovery
Request on its local wired subnet. Any WLCs that also exist on the subnet will
answer with a CAPWAP Discovery Response.

2- Use locally stored WLC addresses—An AP can be “primed” with up to three
controllers—a primary, a secondary, and a tertiary. These are stored in nonvolatile
memory so that the AP can remember them after a reboot or power
failure. Otherwise, if an AP has previously joined with a controller, it should
have stored up to 8 out of a list of 32 WLC addresses that it received from the
last controller it joined. The AP will attempt to contact as many controllers as
possible to build a list of candidates

3-Use DHCP—The DHCP server that supplies the AP with an IP address can also
send DHCP option 43 to suggest a list of WLC addresses.

4 – Use DNS—The AP will attempt to resolve the name CISCO-CAPWAPCONTROLLER.
localdomain with a DNS request. The localdomain string is
the domain name learned from DHCP. If the name resolves to an IP address,
the controller attempts to contact a WLC at that address.

5 – Reset and try again— ( reset and return to step 1).
