Thanks Highlander, I got the path right for that new question because my answer was exactly as you posted.
Ill review your notes for Q103 since it was on the test
Q268 says “Only” (I still think it is 2 after research)

    New Question 2
What is the 802.11b Channel Width.
I chose 20 Mhz, but review after it is 22 Mhz (b is 22 and a/g is 20)

    New Question 3
Choose two ports for something (sorry)
    A. 1645
    B. 1646
    C. 1812
    D. 1813
    E. 1845
    F. 1846
This should be C and D I believe.

    New Question 4
How to keep 802.11 rates and 128 bit encryption?
    A. WPA-TKIP
    B. WPA2-AES
    C. CKIP
    D. WEP
    Should be B.

    New Question 5
    Which two modes support MFP?
Can’t remember the answers, but is should be:
For client it should be Local, HREAP, Bridge
For Infrastucture it should be local, monitor and maybe HREAP?
How can we narrow this to 2?

    New Question 6
    What is this picture
    https://sc01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1G6MtHpXXXXcuXXXXq6xXFXXXq/200667255/HTB1G6MtHpXXXXcuXXXXq6xXFXXXq.jpg

I remember the image, but not the answers, but I think it is a parabolic dish?

    New Question 7 and 8
These were dBm and w conversions. Easy

I will post the 4 questions from the word document as well if we can find a answer to #5 and review these for now.

After initial deployment at a customer site, the master controller mode function left enabled on the secondary controller after access points were primed and statically configured with primary, secondary, and tertiary controller failover. The access points reboot after a POWER failure. Which controller will the APs associate to when the reboot process is completed?
    a. primary
    b. secondary
    c. tertiary
    d. guest anchor

The answer is b, but I don’t get it why…1 step is to broadcast on LAN…and I guess Master WLC replies to that if it’s on the same LAN.subnet or ip-helper is configured on a switch to redirect UDP 524 to specific WLC ip address….but nothing is said about that.

So, if the first step fails, move to step 2, which is preconfigured ips of WLCs…question, does AP loses its config due to a power outage?

  5. Foxx
    September 28th, 2017

    @Z
Should be A, primary. The Master Controller is used if there is no primary, secondary, or tertiary controller assigned to an AP.

“When there is a master controller enabled, all newly added access points with no primary, secondary, or tertiary controllers assigned associate with the master controller on the same subnet. This allows the operator to verify the access point configuration and assign primary, secondary, and tertiary controllers to the access point using the All APs > Details page.
The master controller is normally used only when adding new access points to the Cisco Wireless LAN solution. When no more access points are being added to the network, Cisco WLAN solution recommends that you disable the master controller.”

    @Shadow
    Q277’s answer is correct.

In order to add Mobility Group members in the WLC, you go to Controller, Mobility Management, Mobility Groups, Add. You have to provide:

controller IP address (this would be the management address)
    controller MAC
    mobility group name
    hash (if used)

  13. Shadow
    September 29th, 2017

So what about the Virtual IP ??

  14. Raticulin
    September 29th, 2017

    @shadow
I do not think you know anything, I don’t did the exam. If you do not know what the virtual IP , I advise you not to take the exam and study more.

  15. Foxx
    September 29th, 2017

That’s set in Controller, Interfaces, Virtual. There is only one virtual IP set on the controller. There wouldn’t be a need to set the same virtual IP everytime you added members.

    New Question 5
    Which two modes support MFP?

I find that in la official web cisco, but they say that are three modes Local, monitor and Flexconnect sometimes.

Lightweight access points support infrastructure MFP in local and monitor modes and in FlexConnect mode when the access point is connected to a controller. They support client MFP in local, FlexConnect, and bridge modes.

Microsoft Active Directory integrated machines are not authenticating to the internal WLAN.
The WLAN settings are WPA2-AES-802.1x and are authenticating to a Cisco Identity Services
Engine server. You investigate and note that non-domain authenticated machines are properly
authenticating to the WLAN using their Active Directory credentials.
    Why would this problem occur?
    A. The WLAN is configured improperly in group policy.
    B. The ACS server is not joined to the domain, causing authentications to fail.
    C. The domain machines are configured to disable the wireless adapter.
    D. The non-domain machines are using local accounts that are not authenticated through the domain.

When using multiple SSIDs on a lightweight AP, how does the traffic of each SSID reach
    the 802.3 network?

    A. provide routing between them at the core so that the SSIDs can reach the internet
    B. configure 802.11q trunking on the Ethernet switch port that is connected to the AP
    C. configure ACLs at the switch port that will allow all desired SSIDs to pass traffic
    D. configure the SSIDs on the WLC and it will regulate the traffic based on traffic type
Ans B I dont think so

    QUESTION 187

Which three items are allowed on an Ethernet trunk port? (Choose three.)

    A. autonomous AP
    B. FlexConnect AP
    C. local AP
    D. monitor AP
    E. rogue detector AP
    F. sniffer AP
    G. SE-Connect AP
    H. Cisco WLC

    Correct Answer: ABE

Yes this is correct ABE…. H is wrong.

Of course a WLC could and in reality should be on a trunk port.

But this is not the question. you have been presented with OPERATING MODES of an WLC. Response H ist not a WLC mode. A WLC mode does not exist. WLC ist the controller itself. The question is, which wlc mode can operate on a trunk port?

    hope it helps.

This question is not in the exam and it is ambiguous anyway.

Because you can have many SSID that ends in the same VLAN. You also can have for each SSID a dedicated VLAN. The AP itself has nothing to do with this, because in a standard design, the traffic will end at the controller and he will do the tagging job.

BUT you could have another type of design, split mac architecture for example, known as flexconnect. In this scenario, the wireless traffic could be dropped at the port where the AP is connected to the switch, and then it will take its way like any other traffic to the HQ or else.

It is not clear in the question, what is wanted here.
