the 5520 can do up to 1500 APs

Ah yes, you are correct. The 5520 can indeed handle 1500 AP’s. I just checked it out for myself. It can even do 802.11ac Wave 2… it’s obviously brand new, just come out.

My course notes only contain the following:

Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controller
• Supports up to 500 APs and up to 7000 clients
• 8-Gbps throughput, eight 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports, with LAG support

Those notes are mainly aimed at the older 5508. However, I think that given the fact that the 5520 is so new, it’s probably not going to feature on the exam yet, I don’t know.

i would say the 3850 and 3650 as if they have the WCM enabled as they can be independently configured.

Yes. The correct answers are: Catalyst 3850 and Catalyst 3650. The reason why you’d have to configure them to be the same is because the 3850 and 3650 cannot be a guest anchor.

Anyone else taken the exam recently? Please tell us what we can expect. I’ve become a little nervous and am not taking it now at the end of this month as I had planned. I don’t feel ready. It’s so easy to deceive yourself into a false sense of whether your actually ready. I need to keep revising until I’m happy that I’ll pass.

yes passed recently, study the 500q and cisco prime menu’s and you should be ok.
Also look thru this forum as some answers on here.
I can’t say too much due to the NDA.
I’ve posted some links in earlier threads, and study the OCG its has lots of test questions if you have time, I spent 8 weeks studying.

Is it safe to assume that there are no WCS questions on the exam and they’ve been replaced w/ PI questions?

@Manu – The official cert guide literally says on page 522 “Keep in mind that the
CCNA WIFUND 200-355 exam is limited to Prime”. I have been skipping over all of the WCS questions in my dump. The training videos I have also don’t cover it.

@Any – Can you confirm that you did see WCS questions from the dump on the exam? If so I would think this could be complaint worthy since the OCG clearly says no WCS questions are to be expected.

No WCS questions. Just Prime and WLC.

Read questions/answers carefully. Wording has changed on several.

Aside from work experience, I used the Jerome Henry videos and the OCG. I would say the free dumps in a couple earlier posts are about 2/3 valid. Don’t bother w/ the scammer ones trying to make a buck.

If it’s a penny, why even charge? The CC fees are more than that. They’re losing money.

I also downloaded the demo/trial versions of Prime and a vWLC to play w/ at home

@Manu – Any recollection of what kind of questions to expect about Prime? Does the section on Prime in the OCG cover what we need to know?

@Dream – If I recall, know the top-level menus. Know which menu to go to when you want to configure the APs, add users to the local DB, add radius servers, and such.

I have the 500 Q PDF still. I want to create a quiz engine that takes 40-50 questions from the bank of 500 (will remove duplicates) then I will share for free. Does anyone know a good free test engine I could use that will a. allow me to share for free and b. not be taken down any time soon?

If I find something which doesn’t have to be online that will help solve issue b.

I passed the exam last week, it was a tough one, but if you study you will survive.

There is a question about AP broadcasting in a different vlan than the controller.
