So, last week I passed the CCNA R+S exam, and today I passed the CCNA Wireless. I have the CCNA Security (210-260) exam scheduled for next Monday. So, last week I passed the CCNA R+S exam, and today I passed the CCNA Wireless. I have the CCNA Security (210-260) exam scheduled for next Monday. That one is probably pretty foolhardy, but the scheduling for my local testing center sucks, so if I don’t take a swing at it Monday, I can’t for a couple of weeks, which is too long.

I’ve been in networking for nearly 3 years now, mostly at a NOC for a wireless MSP. Read the official cert guide twice the past week, but there was still a fair amount of topics in the test that weren’t covered in the book. At my new job I’ve had to basically revamp our WLCs and Prime Infrastructure which helped me immensely for this test. I also found the practice exam on Cisco’s site to be much harder than the exam itself. There was also some REALLY dumb questions on this test.

I think I’m gonna go get a CWNA while the topics are still fresh in my mind, and then move onto CCNA-Security. Not sure what my plan will be after that. I’m really enjoying wireless and want to keep pursuing that (i.e. CWNE), however it seems the market really wants security people.

200-355 passed but need more power.
Passed my CCNA wireless recently, went on a week long course then used the Pearson view video course by jerome henry which ended up being better than the course in my opinion.

Loved the material, thinking about starting the ccnp as we have loads of video conferencing issues over wireless (poor quality) that need addressing and this course/exam only touched on it.

And a great added bonus is now my CCNA is renewed for another few years which was due to run out next month. Horray.
