Here you will find answers to Cisco Mobility Express Questions

Question 1

Which two tasks does RRM routinely perform? (Choose two)

A. antenna selection
B. AP address assignment
C. channel assignment
D. encryption method assignment
E. transmit power control

Answer: C E

Explanation

Radio resource management (RRM) is a management control system designed to eliminate or reduce co-channel interference in wireless systems. The objective of RRM is to optimize the availability of channel resources as required to provide the best possible wireless service for users while allowing wireless service providers to serve as many users as possible. RRM engine monitors the radio resources, performs dynamic channel assignments, provides detection and avoidance of interference, and provides the dynamic transmit power control (TPC).

Question 2

A new Cisco Mobility Express 526 controller using v4.2 code direct from the factory is accessible by which default IP address?

A. 10.10.1.1
B. 172.16.1.1
C. 172.16.100.1
D. 192.168.1.1
E. 192.168.100.1

Answer: D

Explanation

The default IP address of the configuration wizard of Cisco Mobility Express Wizard is 192.168.1.1.  So if you have never performed CLI setup, you can access the web interface of a Cisco 526 Express Controller via this address. But notice that you have to access it using secure http, https://192.168.1.1

Question 3

What are the primary methods of configuration management for the Mobility Express Solution?

A. CCA and CLI
B. CCA and Web GUI
C. CLI and Web GUI
D. CLI, Web GUI, and CCA
E. Cisco WCS, Web GUI, and CCA
F. Cisco WCS, Web GUI, CCA, and CLI

Answer: B

Explanation

The Cisco 526 Controller can be configured using the web interface or using the Cisco Configuration Assistant.

    Question 3

    526 WLC:
    1. Web interface with the discovery process via CCA
    2. Connecting directly to the management port and opening up a browser session to 192.168.1.1

    521 Express AP (Stand-Alone-Mode Only)
    1. CLI
    2. CAA
    3. WEB interface

In a mobility Express solution I would assume you would be using a WLC and the APs would be in lightweight mode. That given the answer is B

    B is ths correct answer

    Q. Can the Cisco IOS® command-line interface (CLI) be used to manage the Cisco Mobility Express Solution?
    A. Because the objective of the Cisco SBCS was to create a simplified management system and interface for SMB customers, the CLI is limited to troubleshooting (SHO/DEBUG) commands only and cannot be used for configuration.

Asks for the Primary Methods to the solution (whole thing)
connect to the 521 access point you can use CLI, CCA, Web Gui

connect to the 526 mobility Express Controller you can use CLI, Web Gui

so I think the answer is D for the whole solution you can use CLI, CCA, Web Gui

For Q3. I also opted for D but as per the Cisco Press book, the management tools supported for the 526 controller is CCA and GUI.

    (Choose all that apply.)
    a. Cisco Security Manager
    b. Command-line interface
    c. Web interface
    d. CCA

    6. B, C, and D

Ok, but Q3 asks for *config* management. As Anon mentioned, CLI doesn’t apply here.

Q2 – I think there is an error in explanation – you can use http (quick start guide says : put 192.168.1.1 in your browser). So, I think, it will redirect you on https automatically.

i have the todd lammle ccna wireless study book which gets great reviews on various sites and chapter 8 is all about mobility express. One of the questions at the end of the chapter is worded the same as Q3 (ie primary methods for config) and the answer given is CCA web GUI and CLI

about Q3, I think there is a difference between “configuration” and “management” of Mobility Express Solution. In CCNA official Wireless book, page 282, I can read: “in general, you can CONFIGURE the mobility Express solution in three ways, none of which are performed on the AP (…) but on the controller itself instead; use either the CLI, normally used for basic setup and initialization, or the web interface. after a basic setup you can use the CCA MANAGEMENT tool.”
Based on this, I would go for answer D: CLI, Web GUI, and CCA

Question 3: “Although the 526 controller shares the same CLI as full-featured CUWN controllers, some functionalities are not available on the 526 controller CLI, and it not recommended for configurations. Instead the GUI and CCA should be the primary methods for managing configurations on a 526 controller.” – Chou and Kang CCNA Wireless Study Guide ISBN 978-0-07-170152-5

    Configuration Options

Like many Cisco devices, the WLC526 controller can be configured and operated through more than one interface. They are:

    •Cisco Configuration Assistant (CCA)

    •Controller web-browser interface (GUI)

    •Command-line interface (CLI)

This section explains use and limitations of each interface.

Use the controller command line interface (CLI) if you are experienced using Cisco CLI commands and want to display system parameters or access debugging information

The WLC526 controller is simple to install and operate; therefore, the controller CLI consists of a limited number of primarily show and debug commands.

Thanks but in the website link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps7306/ps7319/ps7338/prod_qas0900aecd8060c860.html posted by jones clearly makes us to understand that though it is management tool but it cannot be used for Configurations.

, Also please I will like to advise people using this link to advertise their product and services to desist from this act as this relates to an act of lack of respect for people that spends time and use Idea to develop this.
